Overview
The eyelids of your baby are still shut at this point, but they are capable of perceiving light and dark. Also, at this point when a powerful flashlight is pointed at your stomach, you can see your baby moving around.
At week 22, there are a lot of developments to be noted too! Your baby’s ears are now capable of hearing and processing sounds from inside your body, such as breathing, rumbling tummy, and even your heartbeat.
Not only is the hearing, the nervous system of your baby now sharpening their senses. This means that the baby is capable of grabbing their nose, umbilical cord, and even their nose.
That’s a lot for someone that’s so small right?
Weight Of Your Baby
Your Baby in 22 Week of Pregnancy will be getting bigger and bigger every single day. At this point, your baby is now as the same size of a small doll. Not only that, your baby is around or over 1 pound heavy.
To put that in comparison, your baby is the same weight as a bag of sure that you can buy in your local supermarket. Want to experience that? Well, go grab a 1 pound sugar bag and place it in your arms just like you would carry our baby!
How Many Months?
If you are 22 weeks pregnant, you are 5 months into pregnancy. This means that there are only 4 months left to go until your baby gets out of that belly and will be playing around with you!
Also, doctors prefer counting weeks instead of months, so still, make sure you are keeping track of the weeks!
Your Uterus
The baby is not the only one that is growing at this point. At 22 weeks pregnant, your uterus is now 1 inch above your belly button.
Your Feet
Not only your uterus, but your feet are also getting bigger. Yes the one that you use to walk and run around!
