Couple Name Daughter “Twifia” To Get Free WiFi for 18 Years

This is something you were not expecting to hear in a long, long, long time.

A couple named their daughter Twifia so they could get free WiFi for 18 years. Smart move or pure desperate? We don’t know.

A new father spotted an advertisement on Facebook that was posted by Twifi, a start-up company, where he read that they were offering free internet for 18 years to anyone that named their kid after their company.

The name options that they gave out were Twifus for a boy and Twifia for a daughter.

The parents of Twifia, who are 30 and 35, said they were happy to give their little one the name Twifia, which is her second middle name.

The parents of Twifia preferred to remain to stay anonymous, and added that they are going to put the money that they were supposed to pay for Wi-Fi into a savings account for their daughter.

The parents hope that she will use the money to buy a vehicle once she turns 18.

When asked about the fact that she could hate the name, the parents said that she could use the money to change it.

It looks like everyone is a winner in this ordeal.

During an interview with Kidspot.com.au, the father said:

“The longer I thought about it, the more unique the name became for me, and that was when the thing got its charm.”

The mother of Twifia said that she did not like the idea at first but changed her mind after some convincing.

She added:

“It’s his child too. And for me, the name Twifia also stands for connection in this context. For an eternal bond! There are much worse names. And the more often we say ‘Twifia’, the heartier the name sounds!”

Philippe Fotsch, the person that handles Twifi, the internet service provider, confirmed the entire thing, saying that they will be paying for the couple’s internet for the next 18 years.

For those that are wondering, yes, the company will pay for their internet even if the company goes bust.
