Pregnant Week 17

Your little fella is currently learning how to suck their thumb and swallow the saliva that their little body makes at this point. This is being done so they can get milk from your breasts or bottle once they are in this world with us. Another big thing that you can get at this point is a sense of hearing. The ears of your baby are close to becoming fully formed and they are being able to hear you speak as you talk around people. One of the most significant things that your baby will get this week is that the fat stores will start to develop under the skin of your baby at this point. The fats under the skin will help the baby keep itself warm after birth.

Size Of Your Baby

Most of the time, babies at the 17th week of pregnancy are no larger or smaller than the average size of a medium-sized onion. They are around 5 inches big and are no heavier than 4 or 6 ounces. As weeks will pass by, your adorable and cute little baby will become bigger and heavier.
